Amsterdam

Just got back from my trip to Amsterdam and we had a great time! It’s a really pretty city, with lots of canals, great architecture, and tons of things to do. Of course it’s known for the red light district and coffee shops, but besides all that, if you love “old worldy” cities, this is definitely one. We walked into the center or “Centrum” every morning, and passed by lots of art galleries/shops, antique jewelry and boutiques. The best thing is that EVERYONE uses bicycles! No wonder everyone looked fit =D We also saw the Anne Frank house, did a canal boat cruise at night, and went to the small carnival they had in the city center. The food there was really yummy; had some great steaks at Argentinian steak houses, as well as nice cafes (I must have a latte every day) and pubs/bars. We watched the England vs South Africa rugby world cup, but sadly “we” (England) lost. :no: Boo! Our friend ran the ING marathon, and a peak moment was that we actually saw him in the race! That made his day I think, he was near the end as well
