Bluetooth for the EEE PC Pt. 2

So I’ve received my BlueNext Super Mini Bluetooth USB Adapter and it worked right out of the box. in Ubuntu. Whoa. This is linux, it’s not supposed to work out of the box!  But I’m shamefully glad it does.  :D  And it only cost £1.40 (about $2.80). Sweetness. The shipping was actually more than the cost of the product!

I plugged it in, and a small bluetooth notification icon popped up on my little sys tray.  I selected browse devices and it detected my phone, synced, and no problems!  (well not yet… we’ll see if I can make it work as a modem and such eventually).  This will be great for when I travel and only want to bring my phone and eee… I can take quick pictures or videos and just pop them on my eee, and then onto my blog or something when I have internet.  So I highly recommend the adapter if you’re looking for one!  (Amazon.co.uk)

it's no Kensington..August 11th, 2008 at 7:55 am

… y’know, the other day, I was lurking in BestBuy and saw this very thing… except it was a Kensington branded device… costs about 14x what you paid for it!

… now, where’ the mod?!?!? give it a mod, not a slim profile USB attachments! use it to control a toaster or something!
