Ubuntu Linux

In the mail today I’ve received a free copy of “Beginning Ubuntu Linux” Third Edition to evaluate!  I’m very excited!  I’m going to see if we can get the old “purple beast” computer (the one I installed Fedora on last year) and install Ubuntu 8.04 on it, and work on some projects.  Or maybe find a cheapie pc since the “purple beast” is a bit loud (I think the VGA fan is at fault). Hmm almost forgot about my little EEE pc!  I think I’ll try to run Ubuntu EEE on it now.  http://www.ubuntu-eee.com/  I had run into small issues with the battery monitor and some wifi kinks.  We’ll see how this runs and I’ll update later in the week!
